New data from Thinknum may indicate that the number of active users on Tinder is falling.

Thinknum tracks how many consumers are signing into apps through their Facebook accounts, and in July it reported Tinder had the most monthly active users of any app.

Bumble has also seen its position descend since October, from 84th to 95th.

Facebook has been caught up in a series of security scandals throughout 2018. This could contribute to daters being reluctant to sign up to apps using their social media profile.

Most recently, 50 million Facebook accounts were breached and it was reported that the hackers would’ve had access to third-party apps that were connected to the victims’ pages.
