Tinder & New York City Football Club Partner to Create #PerfectMatch
Tinder and New York City Football Club have created a #PerfectMatch at the football club’s home game this weekend, to celebrate their partnership stateside.
This is following last month’s announcement that Tinder and NYCFC’s sister club, Manchester City Football Club and Manchester City Women’s Football Club, will also collaborate.
The partnership hopes to bring together Tinder users and passionate football fans from all around the world.
Following a week-long sweepstake on Tinder, a #PerfectMatch winner was selected. They were able to attend NYCFC’s home match last Sunday and they received a VIP experience at the match against FC Dallas.
The package included a behind-the-scenes tour of Yankee Stadium, watching the players warm up, a meet-and-greet with a NYCFC player and hospitality seats. The winners were also allowed to set off the NYCFC Smoke Stacks, which is a NYCFC game-day tradition.
Tinder VP of Partnerships David Wyler said: “We couldn’t imagine a better way to bring new people together while kicking off this partnership in New York City. This is the first of many money-can’t-buy experiences that we are going to give to football fans and Tinder users this season.”
NYCFC President, Jon Patricof, also commented: “We are thrilled to begin activating this new partnership with Tinder, bringing to life special access at NYCFC games and unique experiences with our Club.”
Tinder will continue working with NYCFC, including becoming the partner of the Club’s “After Dark” event to provide fans with drinks and football outside the stadium.
