Clover Introduces New Mixers Feature To Bring Singles Together Over Mutual Interests

Clover Introduces New Mixers Feature

Dating app Clover recently introduced a new feature called Mixers thats seeks to bring people together over common interests and encourage them to meet up offline.

Described as a mix between Meetup and Reddit, the Clover feature lets singles create and view in-app forums on the dating app.

In these group chats, users can discuss shared interests – whether “snowboarding” or Game of Thrones – and potentially arrange to meet up.

Speaking about the feature, Clover CEO Isaac Raichyk said: “Meeting someone in a Mixer is a lot of like meeting someone at a friends party.

“We’ve been pleasantly surprised by the volume of Mixers people have created so far. It’s fun to see people connecting through such a vast variety of interesting niche topics.”

Clover is not the first dating app to try and integrate group conversations – last month MeetMe revealed it was introducing a group messaging service to its mobile platform, and apps like Fuse and Groopify both have group conversation aspects.

Last year Clover announced it had raised an extra $2m in funding, which it said it would use to accelerate growth by expanding the platform and adding to its team.
