Bauer Media Launches Flirtify Dating Brand

Baur Media

Bauer Media have launched their own dating brand, Flirtify, aimed at “modern, tech savvy singles in the UK”.

Flirtify has a desktop and mobile platform, which uses a “Who’s near me” function to connect users together via Google Maps.

The White Label Dating-powered site also offers a search system called “encounters”, that lets members search for potential dates by voting yes, no or maybe.

Bauer Media is a German-based media company that owns titles including 4music, Closer, FHM, Empire, Metro Radio and Q.

The basic service is free, but for premium services such as chat, there is a £9.99 monthly subscription.

Adele Simpson, head of CRM strategies & digital marketing, said “Online dating is now not only a socially accepted way to meet new people, it’s socially encouraged.

“Our target market wants an online dating experience that is convenient, can be used ‘on-the-go’ and is fun.

“In addition to this, consumers now expect brands to be active on social media platforms; they want a brand that they can interact and engage with.”

Flirtify wants to do this by using Twitter, Pinterest and its own blog to put more of a face to the brand, that will offer guest posts, editorial content and interactivity between them and their users.

Earlier this year, Bauer Media launched lifestyle site The Debrief and football newsletter The Equaliser.

Bauer Media will be offering support for its new website through its other brands such as Absolute Radio and Kiss FM.
