eHarmony Launch Great Date Guide

eHarmony has launched their Great Date Guide – a collection of date venues across the UK recommended by eHarmony couples.

Launched today, in time for Valentine’s Day, it is available as a free downloadable book to both members and non-members.

The guide contains over 60 locations for couples, ranging from country pubs to historic landmarks and theme parks.

Romain Bertrand, Managing Director of eHarmony.co.uk, said:

“Selecting a venue for a date can be a tough decision, so we wanted to create something to help people choose a great place to date so they can concentrate on having a good time.

“And just as our compatibility matching system understands that everyone is different, similarly the Great Date Guide offers a range of options suited to a range of personalities, so there’s something for everyone.”

Those businesses in the guide have been sent branding to advertise their inclusion, and eHarmony want other businesses to apply to be added.

It will be updated throughout the year, as eHarmony couples send recommendations and businesses apply.

Discounts for some of the venues will be available to members of eHarmony.

There has been a lot of news in recent weeks about dating sites expanding to include couple services – HowAboutWe Couples opening in L.A., their fifth city, Match launching Delightful and Korean couples app Between receiving funding to let third parties offer services on the app.

It’s certainly a viable business model, as it keeps happy members on the service and by forming partnerships with date venues, can bring in extra revenue.
