Tinder Teams With Indian ‘Urban Hangout’ Venue Chain Social For New #TinderAtSocial Partnership
Tinder is collaborating with an Indian cafe, bar and workspace chain called Social for a new offline brand partnership.
The collaboration will see all Social locations in Delhi NCR, Mumbai and Bangalore integrate some of Tinder’s signature features into their venues, as well introducing themed menus and cocktails.
The partnership between the two brands aims to “bring the Tinder experience offline”.
It will also include a dating-themed stand-up comedy performance featuring Comedy Store regular Sahil Shah at Todi Mill Social, Mumbai on 31st May.
The comedy night will also feature Mumbai-based comic Jerin Ephrem.
On its website, Social describes itself as: “A space that blends the best of the office and the café. Combining work and play, it’s an urban hangout designed to take you offline while still keeping you connected. Social is a collaborative workspace, a hub for artists and innovators.”
Having made a push into the market in 2015, last year Tinder released a more family-friendly video ad for the country, after appointing Taru Kapoor to lead its operations in India in January.
Last week, we published an interview with the CEO & co-founder of Woo, Sumesh Menon, who spoke about the potential of the Indian market, and how it has changed over recent years.
