Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe recently revealed a very simple trick that can help singles increase their response rates by 60%.

The CEO of the dating app said its team discovered that personalising a first line can increase response rates dramatically.

Whitney Wolfe told Business Insider that instead of saying “Hey!”, writing “Hey!” and including the person’s name improves your chance of a response by 60%.

Over the new year period, Bumble revealed it had hit 11.5m users globally.

The dating app, which was launched in December 2014, has also seen 1.7m messages sent on the platform, and 50bn swipes.
